We share the goal of eliminating plastic waste from the environment and acknowledge that our Company has a responsibility to help solve this issue. Our approach is in line with World Without Waste goals of The Coca-Cola Company.
All of our Products are 100% recyclable
A key part of our work is to ensure our packaging is as sustainable as possible. All of our bottles and packaging are 100% recyclable. Throughout the years we have been working on ways to reduce the amount of plastic in our packing through a light-weighting programme which is one of the innovative ways that our Company is reducing our carbon footprint one package at a time
rPET
We have also started the transition to have all our PET bottles produced in Malta to contain 50% recycled PET (rPET) by 2025. Our Company was in fact the first local producer to produce a bottle made from 50% rPET.
Beverage Containers Deposit Return Scheme
We strongly supported the introduction of a well designed and implemented Beverage Containers Deposit Return Scheme (BCRS). We have long advocated the positive environmental impact such schemes can have, which will continue to encourage people to recycle.
Through our sustainability programs, we’re continuing to work with organisations to encourage more recycling, whilst actively supporting several initiatives with the aim of making litter something of the past.
